This year’s Metro FM Music Awards were held on Saturday the 6th of May 2023, at Mbombela Stadium, in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, and was broadcast live on SABC 1. Kwa-Zulu Natal celebrates the wins of our very own - Nduduzo Makhathini who won Best Jazz Album for In the Spirit of Ntu, Skye Wanda who won Best House Song for her hit single Amazwi and multi-award-winning DJ Tira walked away with the award for Best Music Video for Sikilidi.
The late A.K.A achieved massive wins posthumously for his album Mass Country, in the award categories for Artist Of The Year, Best Collaboration Song, Best Male Artist and Best Hip Hop Artist. Long live King Forbes!
